Is there a way to record audio, while tweaking setting in Live, without recording the automation?

Can't you just add an audio track with input set to resample to record the audio? And don't enable Global Record to not record automations.

have an audio track that receives from the 'pre-fx' of your track ...set it's monitor to 'off'..
and record to that..
