As some of you might have guessed, i am a rabid guitar player and fan.
To this point i have been on the ultimate quest for a guitar sim that will allow me to record in my home and get the tones i am was used to getting when i was able to play a real amp at a proper volumes. Most of the sims can produce this illusion, some better than others.
However, none of them produce the feel, and if you have ever played a good tube amp at volume you will know what i mean about "Feel"

Any ways...
I have a killer amp, a MATAMP 1224 MKVI,
and I just bought a Rivera silent sister iso cab to feed it too.

OMFG!!!

What a revelation!!
Its still a bit loud, but i can easily talk over it, i've also put it into a closset so that muffles it a wee bit more. Right now its about as loud as my recording monitors if the closset door is open, if the closset is closed i get very little bleed and i'm hearing the sound post Lives mixer.

I've got a RODE NT3 in side and i'm getting an SM57 to complement it...

I am in tone heaven...

Not sure why i'm posting all of this, just looking to share the joy i guess.

The new Jet City JCA20H by Soldano also looks pretty interesting, although it's certainly not as silent as yours. And it's cheap for a 20W valve amp head.

those jet city amps look pretty cool actually.
Thay arn't soldano's though. 8)
Mike designed the circuit boards for them, and i think they are "based on" the same routing as he uses for the OVER DRIVE/CRUNCH channel on his own amps.
I'm very familier with the soldano sound, i've owned a hot rod 50, a hot rod 50+ and have had open access to a SLO-100. All of the them are truly great, and probably classic amps. I sold my last HR50 to pay for some unexpected bills associated with a medical problem i ran into. One of my great regrets
I've played with the jet city amps and they do sound very good, about as good as the Blackstar amps actually, not as many features, but very cool tones. But they ain't Soldanos...

Having said that.
They do have a very good tone of their own.
