just wanted some feedback on this track...its just a work in progress right now, don't even know if there will be some vocals in it..but its a first attempt at making "danceable" music instead of more "listening-prone" one..so enjoy and feel free to comment-even bad comments are welcome (do not abuse this!)
cheers

Hi again,
just listened to your track twice.
I like the way the track turns out at about 5:30, and you managed to put a lot of variety during the whole track,
but I think there are also some things missing.
I like the filtered french-style intro, you're building up expectations here, but at around 0:50 you're taking out the pressure completely and all the tension gets lost.
Now for the most important part: I think you should come up with a cool bassline by 1:48. I have to admit, missed a bassline throughout the whole song. It seems to be not very bass-driven, but bass is what kicks ass on the dance floor!

Please, don't get me wrong - don't lose any of your sounds or your style, but I think you have to work on the arrangement.
I found a tutorial for house music arrangements aimed at DJs, but I'm sure you can get lots of inspiration there:
http://www.djmandrick.com/html/djtutori ... -music.htm
Hope this helps! You don't have to stick to it, but it helps to FIRST learn the way it is done usually and THEN apply creative changes to it. I apologize for the criticism, but I think especially beginners (like I am, too!) are in need of fair comments to keep growing.
Good luck with your music!

hey, dont worry i like criticism-much better than "very cool it doesn't need anything else "...as for the first drop after the "french intro" you're right but...i did it to have room for growing afterwards, as if the song would open there the whole song would be descending instead of ascending-and i was trying to make it ascend!but maybe it is a bit too much, problem is now WTF to put there to avoid the sudden drop!
the "bassline" consideration is absolutely true, i must confess that i didnt find any suitable line and so i just left it for the final part..maybe i should cut out a bit of bass from the main polysynth and introduce something before as you say...fact is all the sounds are created from scratch and my main problem at synthesizing sounds are basses

(apart from drum parts, which really drive me crazy!)
must give a look to the link, still havent but surely will.
thanks dude, always helps to have more than 2 ears..
anybody else in the meantime go on and comment!

With all that was mentioned already by Fluid and your response, if you switch your target audience from club instrumental, some vocal parts would turn this into a great pop song. I enjoyed listening.

this is funny as i started this project with a singer friend of mine, but until now he's been a bit lazy so i've gone on and almost completed the track without him..will post improvements as i'll move back home next week-and have access to all of my tools!still waiting for input..

The only parts that seem to be different is the intro and the break after. It's very difficult to a/b it on SC but I made an attempt. Bassline added where suggested carriers it a little further. The song is nice and the 4xFloor is powerful. If you are satisfied with your results, that's what counts. I enjoyed listening. Thank you for sharing.

Playing it now and enjoying it. It kicked in pretty early, but almost immediatly done a u-turn. In an ideal world there'd be a bit more of the chunk from 0.30 to 1.00, but hey - it's your tune and I'm happy to hear what you throw at us.

Thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed the track. What happens at about the 1min mark is a little unexpected and feels like the track restarts there (or a new track is coming in) but if you have a reason for it and you're happy with it, then rock on. Really danceable tune though, I'm jealous.

well you're not going to like it but
"very cool it doesn't need anything else "
I agree with the vocals but if there isnt going to be a main singer and few samples could keep the interest going...as its stands you could still stick a fork in it
