Ableton piano roll substitute

can you recomend me some step sequencer/piano roll sequencer vst that would be
better and faster that lives ??? i hate lives piano roll thing, its so fuckin slow
for example it would be cool to move and add notes with keyboard..but it is not necessary (i have
a tracker backround so im familiar with ultrafast composing shiit)
just give me your recomendations !!
