Working with video in session view?

Hi there
Is there a way I can launch video clips/loops in session view? I want to be able to launch a video clip at the same time as I launch an audio/MIDI clip.
Can I do that within Live, or will I have to do some rewire thing? Or is it impossible?
Best regards Nikolaj

can't do it.
one thing you can do is to put markers on the video on Arrange view and have that track running from Arrange view an the others from Session view. then assign a midi controller to those markers and you can control the video while you play in Session view.
TBH video in Live is pretty limited, AFAIK it's meant as a reference tool for putting together audio with video.

Okay. So would it be possible to map one pad on a Launchpad to lauch both an audio clip in session view and play a movie clip in arrangement view? Then I could just make some really long video clips in arrangement view, so it will be like a looped clip.

nope, only one midi assignment per button.
can't think of any workarounds, gotta run.

Is that a special thing with the Launchpad? Because then I should maybe buy a APC20/40 instead...

fwiw, you could trigger midi clips in session to activate markers in the way tonedeft suggests.
You need to set up a midi yoke/virtual midi cable as a remote controller, assign the notes/ccs you will send from the clips as the triggers for those markers, and then route the midi out of the session track with the 'control clips' in it to the midi yoke.

Could you please explain the midi yoke thing to me? Tone Deft just said that I should map one midi controller to a clip in session view and map the same controller to a marker in arrangement view. Am I right?
