Operator deep sub bass constant....

Hi there!

I'm having this issue where I want a nice sine wave deep sub bass, set it to the frequency I want, but (of course) when you play notes, it's always the same note that comes out.

Do I have have to map the Freq. knob to the virtual keyboard or something ?

Thanks!

just leave it as it is and play different notes. (edit. doh i meant uncheck the fixed tick)

fixed means fixed and nothing more complicated - the osc. will always stay at the same frequency.

I must be doing something wrong then. Do I need to use more than 1 OSC ? What algo. would you use for that ?

fixed is not fit for your purpose. Its more for drum kits. Either play a really low octave . Maybe pull transpose right down. Or create a drum rack of operators- each tuned to yummy frequency. Microtonal madness!

If I don't use fixed, I can't get low enough for sub bass. I'll have to double check that this evening.

use an instrument rack
use 2 instances of operator
1 with the sub in
and the other with the synth sound
now you can have your low sub and synth sound playing together from the same key hit
