I am rendering a mix at 129 bpm, yet when I bring it into a new session and set the song tempo at 129 it is out of sync. I figured out that it's getting rendered at 128.12 bpm. I don't think this could be a 48 vs. 44.1 kHz issue because I tried all different scenarios (rendered at 48, 44.1, new session at 48, 44.1, etc). Also, the ratio between 129 bpm and 128.12 bpm isn't equal to the ratio between 48 & 44.1. However, a few of the audio tracks I'm working with in the original session are at 48 and a few are 44.1, so I still have a nagging feeling that could have something to do with it.

any ideas?

ok, I suspect it's another of the myriad bugs in Live 8. With the rendered file in a new session set to 128.12 bpm, I looped a section. If I let it play, the loop doesn't play correctly and part of the next downbeat is heard. However if I set the cursor to playback right before the point it loops back around, it sounds fine (and visually it looks all synced up). So yeah.....ableton needs to get their shit together.
