Computer's running mad slow... getting:

Disk I/O error

when I try to save AU or VST presets or even just a simple instance of Operator. Anyone else having this? I'm on MAC
desktop

OS 10.5.8 or whatever the laster of 10.5 is...

I've tried everything... fixed/repaired permissions,

rebooted,

created new template file...

tried different audio interfaces

I usually use audio 8 DJ, or guitar rig kontrol 2 or Kore 1 controller

any suggestions would be HUGE! I know this version is buggy and they're working on it so I'm just writing to see if anyone with similar problems has found temporary work arounds...

it's all good, deep breaths, after all, it's just a computer right....

Please excuse a couple of obvious questions:
Have you got plenty of free space on your HD?
Does the disk or folder you are trying to write to have Read and Write permissions? (Get Info > Sharing and Permissions > Read & Write)

yup, plenty of space... on Mac with 2 HD's, main is a terrabyte with 300+ gigs... 2nd is 750 gb with samples on it.... Live Library however is in user/application support/... thinking of moving LIve LIBRARY and re-installing 8.1.1 just to see

ask away... looking for anything/every solution! Thanks!
