Location of Samples on OSX

A while back I was watching the Groove3 tutorials and the guy in them mentioned that using the Noise Samples from I think operator could help a lot when making fills or transitions. It is the same location where the Sine waves and other such sounds are located I believe.

Can someone please point me to where this is as I do not remember and cannot find the video this was mentioned in?

Thanks,
B

Guess you're talking about Simpler, not Operator.

How's that? Can't imagine how simple waveform files could make any good transitions... Maybe more complex wavetables could...?

Sorry I don't know about the directory, but I'm a bit curious about the transitions. Maybe you got that wrong as well....?

You may be right about it being Simpler. Where are those located?

If you can have a sample of pure noise, you can play with it in simpler and use it as transitions i.e. bringing noise in slowly to a peek and then dropping it. I am still learning this stuff but that is how I envision doing it. If others have a better method (which I am sure there is) by all means, please share.

You can do the same thing if you just use the Simpler preset containing the noise....

That's why I'm wondering why someone would use it "outside" of Simpler. I'm not saying that there is no way that this could make sense, it's just that I can't figure out any reason to do so.

On a mac the folder containing the samples is:
~/Library/Application Support/Ableton/Library/Samples/Waveforms

Not sure if it makes sense either. But thank you for pointing me to the folder.
