Midi track, sync, remote question

What's up everyone, could someone give me a quick explanation of what the different functions are of the Track, Sync, & Remote switches in the midi port preferences?

open the help box in the lower corner of Live then hover the mouse over those options in Preferences.
basically:
remote - midi sync
track - midi notes
remote - cc controls
