I had this idea that I'd map my filter racks (I've got one on each bus track) to the same eight knobs on my BCR, using buttons
to activate/deactivate the various racks. This, however, doesn't work too well; let's say it works just fine on "track A"
and "track D", but on tracks B and C, the controller behaves completely erratically - it jumps from 0 to 127 and backwards is
forwards.

Does this work for anyone else? The idea was just that I should be able to make filter sweeps on the fly, and just use the
buttons to pick the tracks affected. I suspect it might be a LED feedback issue.

Anyway, if there isn't a solution in Live alone, maybe it's possible to make a Max for Live device that works like a rack that's
actually track independent, so that it could be "master" to any number of racks on any number of tracks?

Looks cool, but I'm not quite sure if I understood the concept. What I want, is a shell (a regular 4x4 Macro rack would suffice)
to simultaneously control the Macros of any rack on any track (in my case, I'd be performing the same filter sweep on e.g.
two tracks, but I'd decide on the fly if I wanted to enable both filter, if you know what I mean.

When a knob gets assigned it needs to be the proper mode (absolute, realtive, inc/dec etc.) Do you have that on all your mappings? It's important, that would explain the erratic behaviour. Read the MIDI mapping section of the manual .

What would the "proper" mode be, then? All the knobs on my BCR are set to absolute, and what I don't get is why they can
work fine with up to four tracks, whereas the last two out of the six I've set up get completely cocked up. LED feedback is
working just fine otherwise, so I don't really see why I should have to switch to relative mode.

The tracks all contain the exact same effect rack, and I assigned one row of knobs to control the Macros the same respective
macro on all the six tracks.
