latency in sample preview in Ableton and Logic

Hi,
I've used to browse my samples in real time while track is playing and drag some new stuff in the arrangement. Never had any problems even without analysis
files and no matter how big folder of samples.
Now I'm trying to recreate this workflow with Logic and its browser but all I'm getting is a huge latency in preview. I've only one track playing background.
Is it my settings or Logic? Would be nice to hear if this kind of workflow is possible.
I'm asking this here 'cause I know people are using Live with Logic or vice versa.
