is it possible to route selected multiple outs from a VSTi, or let's say Impulse, to a single mixer channel? if not how are group/bus channels achieved in Live? what am i missing? feel free to refer me to the manual; i can't find what i need.

thanks.

hi glueslabs!

look into an audio track input:
there you can choose for example the track where the impulse is.
choose the track.
then, underneath you can choose which output
[all track out or just one (kick, snare, hihat...)]
you want to have!

hope this helps

best

but sadly you can't easily route kicks and toms to one track and snares and hats or whatever. (Consider this a feature request :))

thanks, ulidjan. unfortunately, what i'm looking for is what noisetonepause describes. i suppose i can route each out from Impulse to its own channel and then route the channels i want to group to yet another channel. guess i was hoping for a shortcut. :?

maybe try....

I could be way off here, but as I understand it you should route each of the outputs from the vsti to a different audio track. Once this is done you can route groups of those audio tracks to new audio tracks in any grouping you like. Good luck.
