cant preview loops in LE 7

Hi
for no apparent reason, i can no longer preview loops from the browser - I have to physically drag and drop them into the track to hear them which is obviously a pain because its nice to preview loops whilst your track is playing - Does anyone have any advice ? Have i changed a setting perhaps without realising ?
