Refresh cycle for ableton?

Does anyone know the average refresh cycle (time between major updates, like 7 to 8 )? also what was 8's release date?

Until 7 it was about a year, I think. From 7 to 8 it took a while longer. Let´s hope that 9 is not in the near future...

lol there would be mass outrage if they even hinted at an upcoming v9 I reckon.
