Ableton Live - Hip Hop Producer Edition

Post by STRATEGY_510 » Fri Apr 16, 2010 11:35 pm

I'm surprised no one has talked about this on here, at least in ridicule.

Personally, i think it's great. I usually loathe genre-specific branded music gear (because it's usually cheesy), but this seems like a lot of bang for the buck and the whole bundle is a nice starter production workstation. I think the fact that its a variation of Live Lite is a boon to someone who's just starting out, or moving from hardware samplers/workstations to computers. Not to short it on the ability to do "professional" tracks, it looks like it certainly can.

I would suggest Ableton's Intro is probably as good a bet for the cash.

It has a lot of sample content and far less restrictions on track counts etc.

I love Arturia though and their synths are top notch, although everything in this Hip Hop edition package is a major cut down something or other.
