Been thru all the dropdowns, and the manual and cant find a way to do this.

a time code master that has a nice huge timecode display?

Anything would do really - you can see bars and beats but not time which is odd. Unless im missing something?

For example, at the mo im doing a fun contest when you have to submit a track thats 5 mins or less.

I had to go to arrange to see what bar 5 mins was on, and then check bars, which isnt the end of the world but a bit strange you just cant see where you are timewise.

Currently not a feature. you can get a plugin to do it, if u stick it on any channel.

I know theres a M4L patch that does this - Considering if you happen to have M4L.

i havent got M4L... so it sounds like this is an addon/3rd party solution?

weird.

Surely other people have wanted/needed time in session view before? What about djs surely knowing how long youve been playing is important?

there are many things people have wanted...

i personaly would like to know what goes on when i move a midi event in the editor...


sometimes hard to understand ableton logic... allways smart ideas and implementations but the details? there its often rather silly..
probably they steal there ideas somewhere.. missing smartness in the details is often an indicator for that...
