Xone 92/Korg KP3 with Live or not ?

I have a Xone 92 Rotary mixer and a Korg KP3.
With my cdj's the master output would go through the KP3 to the speakers so the full signal would get effected.
With Ableton Live i want to be more creative. I'd like all my drum sounds to come to one channel on the Xone, Bass to one, the rest to one channel and one channel could be the return from KP3, so i could eq/filter/kp3 them individually.
This is not in a club DJing context but more like original electronica/ambient tracks. Live itself is controlled by APC 40 and keyboard controller.
Should i even bother with the KP3 and the Xone 92 ? Shoudl i send master out of the soundcard to the speakers and use all FX within Live ? Just that the Xone and KP3 are just sitting around and i love the feel of both the units.
Another idea would be to use KP3 as external send within Live, or simply use KP3 as midi controller and assign XY to fx in Live.
The FX loop in the Xone is parallel not serial, so the wet signal comes on another channel while the dry signal plays, not really into that.
Thought i'd ask opinions and methods here.
Cheers
