Ableton ate a folder of tracks - really

I had just sorted threw a folder of tracks, and I was looking at them in the ableton, I decided to try and drag the whole folder into the session (to see if it would import all the sorted tracks) and when I dragged the folder over top, I let it go, and bammmm.. gone for real.
I searched endlessly on my mac with spotlight and all that the files are gone, not in the trash, puff...
