WHO HERE KNOWS MIDI? Selecting sounds via LIVE - MC303

So...

To select sounds (and to play, from saaay.. a midi clip in live) on a groovebox, via midi, you need to send

One CC00 message - value ##
One CC32 message - value ##
One PC #

In LIVE... you have

BANK
SUB-BANK
PROGRAM options

Does anyone know what these LIVE values correspond to in MIDI terms?

I can get the groovebox to play (some) sounds... but I have no real control over which ones get played using the values indicated in the manual for the MC303 (the manual only gives me ONE CC# and a PC#)

Anyone?

i guess you'll have to select the correct CC# in a midi clip enveloppe, and then draw the correct value.

but if i were you, i'd forget about editing the mc303 with an external application: the MC3030 midi implementation is just worthless. you're going to spend all your time trying to do something that you will never manage.
i think it can be ok to just synch the unit to Live, but don't try to edit it from Live... it's a nightmare...

Oh yeah... midi is bad on the mc303...
im not going to be doing any deep editing...
Its a great little drum machine... Lots o sounds in there... just want it for beats... maybe bass lines...

So... still.. anyone had luck yet with this?

What seems to work on the Roland G-600 is:

Bank = CC00 + 1
Subbank = CC32 + 1
Program = PC

Hope it helps.

is the mc303 supported in sounddiver?
if it is , you can run sounddiver alongside ableton to control your mc303
