Loop question stupid no 1

(More will follow...)

When adjustiong a clips start end pos etc I find myself missing the ability to place a start marker before the clip region start (!) position. Well, that can be done in simpler or by fixing thing with one or more clip copies in the arrangement.
I guess I am talking about letting the offset be negative.

For emulation old loops from my Roland W30 (yeah...), I would also appreciate a alternate (back and fort) loop mode in Simpler. I can reverse the sample och join its reversed trail with the original. But, anyway.

What exactly is your question then?

Question no 1: Is there a conceptual and/or technical limitation in Live, not allowing the offset setting for a clip to be negative?
Example: A sample of train starting to roll. The clip loop should contain the up and running part, but the offset should introduce the slower, starting up portion. (And yes, we know how to create it anyway.)

Question no 2: Only me who would like an alternating loop setting in Simpler?

I agree COMPLETELY with Conny!
I need the Offset to be negative, so I can simply start one file with an introduction, then it goes in a loop.
It should be so simple, don't you think so?
