Hey there peeps i'm hoping someone can help me with an annoying problem i have. Basically i have 2 audio tracks open. On Audio Track 1 i set the audio to , to my second audio track but when i press the in button on the monitor of the second channel i get this white noise that builds in intensity & loudness & wont stop unless i set the button back to auto. Anyone got any ideas what's goin on?

try setting the "audio from" menu to "no input" on audio track 1 - see if that helps

yeah - i thought maybe that as you are routing track 1 to track 2 then maybe something was coming in from the having "ext in" selected on track 1
do you have any devices on track 1?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SW3OTOO4Fxw but like i say as soon as i set the monitor to in the noise starts until i switch it back to auto.

Configure preferences and disable your inputs then try again. Set your cue to your phones in your master and then cue each audio track with the S. You can drop the volume in the mixer and hear it in the phones or leave it up and hear the track through the master out and the headphones.

Someone else suggested having no input in the prefs. I have set it to no input & it seems to have done the job. Is that right having no input in the audio in, in the prefs?

Well the noise you're generating is feedbackp, check your inputs. Did you manage to get your cue working?

I think it's sorted now as no more noise. The only thing is if you have watched the vid i gave the link to in my last post he copied an audio clip from track 1 to track 2 but when he plays the clip on the second track there is no sound cause the monitor switch on that channel is set to in. But when i do that i can still hear the clip on the 2nd track....

i have the exact problem...i saw the clip on you tube you were refering to and tried the exact thing...however with the beat repeat chains, i added an autofilter chain and now i get feedback as the beat repeat chain seems to keep playing in the background alongside the next effectchain i play....
