Going to Rome this summer, and I can choose to spend a weekend in either Berlin or Barcelona. Easy choice? I wish... I'm big into minimal techno and drum n bass and I would love to hit up some great parties. Obviously the techno is maybe bigger in Berlin but I'm sure either city is amazing for it's own reasons. Can anyone speak on experience of overall good times/fun parties??? Any extras like access to ganja or hash etc.? I also speak Spanish but don't know a lick of German. Thanks!

in berlin you are fine with english, berlin has tons of minimal in rotten venues, drugs are not really an issue, forget about DnB, unless you are into real hard stuff, then there are 3 venues who do shit DnB parties.

in barcelona are no germans except the ugly tourists (just like with the english, but you can always avoid those, but avoiding germans in berlin is difficult)

in barcelona you are fucked with either english or spanish, if you speak catalan it's fine, otherwise people will be genuinely unfriendly, but berliners (at least the few genuine remaining ones) are super rude and unfriendly as well, on the surface!!! dig deep and discover..., we hate that surface american McD smile shit loving everyone for money.

barcelona has a beach and good weather, moog is a wicked club, with some style (you want find that in berlin, in case you like that)

hard to say, i am a born berliner but dislike it here, to many shit people around and everything is either fuck up punk or straight up pseudo posh.

barcelona is great and loads of fun, good weather and also decent parties, it is probably a little more difficult in barcelona to find good parties if you don't know an insider, drugs are generally not a huge issue either...

i'd say barcelona, but i am highly biased hating this shit hole berlin.

if you don't appear in typical american we own the world manner, you will have a good time in either of those cities, otherwise americans are highly disliked in europe. just leave your "we are the world police" attitude at home.

"we are the world police" lol. okay then. not into the really hard dnb. i guess i might expect the dnb scene here in la to be slightly bigger than in either of these cities. well, more deliberating

since u´r staying in rome, I think Berlin would be more interesting than barcelona. not that rome and barcelona would be totally alike, but they both got that nice mediterranean flair. berlin is different.

Yes, now hold thumbs that the weather is coming back to mediterranean mode until then. We had two days with rain and chilly 11 degrees right now. Though today was a little better ...
