my knobs twitchy

Post by stockylocky » Mon May 03, 2010 4:33 pm

On my Novation Nocturn. It just seems to be the first on the left? Im using Guilles script so I dont think its that. Anyone elso have any problems with nocturns pots? im wondering if its a hardware thing can I fix it, that particular pot feels a little looser than the others..... well i think it does! Anyway anyone any advice?

Encoders get jumpy when they get dusty... much like I get jumpy when I have too much coffee :D

Give it a spin for a while, hopefully that'll move the dust. Maybe step it up with a quick vacuuming (if the knob's glued on tight!)

Thanks for the tip, concept. My MPD24 has been doing this for awhile. I had a suspicion it was dusty pots, but never got around to looking.

Twitchy knob? I'd see a doctor about that.
