Does anyone know if Live 4.04 supports the Multiple output function in Stylus RMX? I can't seem to get it to work.
Thanks!

Thank you for the reply, here is what I found but it doesn't make sense and it doesn't really seem to do anything when I try it.

"Set one MIDI track with no input that will have RMX on it, then add 8 new MIDI tracks (CTRL+SHIFT+T) Set their outputs to the midi track live is on and Set the channels to 1 thru 8 respectively. Maybe make a template so you don't have to do it every time."

This is only designed to drive the RMX in multitimbral mode. I don't think you can use the multiple outs of stylus in live but that's only a guess.
(Edited) I've just tried it with the vst version in live and it works. Go to the mixer, select output A to H under the file name. Then select it as input on an audio track.

Hmm, I get it to work with Battery, but not with RMX. I have the 1.0.8 version. In the RMX mixer I can only select out A. I had to install the AU version to get the latest version to show up in live, othervise only the old 1.0.0D would show up. The latest VST install version did not show up, and how do I select between AU and VST anyhow?

hmm.. bouth the vst and rtas 1.0.8 download has the same file name: stylus_rmx_108_vst_rtas.sit

Could it be they are bouth rtas?

In the video tutorial they say use the multi channel version, and not the stereo version. How do I select the multi channel version? Only one RMX shows up in the Live browser...

Both VST and AU versions work for me. I tried the multiple outs with 1.05 and upgraded since. Damn ! I'm gonna check if this multiple outs stuff still works.

Madlab,

How is the CPU Usage of RMX in Live on your Powerbook? I want to get RMX but I am worried that it will use too much processor on my 867mHz, 1gig, Powerbook.

Thanks!

VST 1.08 multiple outs work for me. As far as CPU goes, RMX is a bit greddy of course, which is normal considering all the incredible real time manipulations on offer. I can use it in multitimbral mode with 5 to 8 parts for about 40% of the CPU (at least that's what Live CPU indicator shows me). I can play for a while adding a softsynth or two. No crash but intermittent burst of noise from my motu 828. Don't know if it's related to stylus RMX as it seems to happen also with other instruments. I guess I should get a G5 :(

Hmm..i'm having problems getting RMX multiple outputs to work in Live too. Got the multiple parts 1-8 working but when i try to assign the outputs i only have the OUT A option in RMX although in the "Audio From" section in Live i can choose RMX out 3/4, 5/6 etc.

I'm using v1.08 AU version. Anyone have the same problem or able to help?

Thanks.

Not a mac thing as it works for me for VST and AU versions. My OS version is 10.3.3. What is yours ?

I have the exact same setup. Its around 30% cpu with RMX going 4 channels, with no FX. But the 1 gig ram is the problem, it works with 2-3 loops going at the same time from 3 channels, but on the fourth, it starts to get nasty glitches, and not playable for a live audience.
