need a portable pc- help

HI everybody,
I would like to get a second hand portable PC, 15", because I am tired of the lack of mobility...
Since I run Live (mostly)+vsts I thought that I ask here, I am a totally new to laptops, never owned one, so I would appreciate little help.
Are there any basic guideline for a music oriented laptop, like what to look for and what to avoid?
Are there laptop companies that You prefer for audio?
I was thinking about IBM-Thinkpads, Sony-Vaios, Toshiba- Satellites?
Screen size...15" (size is no problem)
Definitely Intel double core processor, (no AMD)...
I do not want a MACbook, (they are too expensive) please don't suggest one, I use windows XP.
If anyone wishes, if you really like your pc, or can recommend a good one, post the model please.
