Reduce gain on all tracks simultaniously?

Hi,

Is there a way in Live 8 i can reduce the volume on all tracks at the same time by the same amount?

My track is begining to clip but i am happy with the mix as it is so i was hoping to be able to take everything down a db or 2 without going through every track individually.

Thanks for the help!

a) reduce on the master if the clipping is only there

b) select all tracks, and move one fader. you will then move all faders at the same time.

b) only works in Live 8 where it was a new feature.

a 'utility' device on the master

just use the master fader. that's what it does.

If you made volume automation, selecting all tracks and moving one fader will not work.

Select all tracks, move a fader, and watch for your volume decrease (i.e. -6dB). Apply to the automated tracks with selecting the whole volume automation area.

This is a bit longer but it's accurate.

put a utility on each channel, map all the gains to one knob on your controller.
