1. Support for Launchpad in latest version! (sold my APC40 to get a LP for this).

Yes I saw. Bit disappointed that it doesn't support the APC40, saw in their forum that the APC40 is on the "To Do" list but is now taking a lower priority due to the fact that it works so well with the Launchpad. So the question is...Should I buy an LP and Numerology??? Hmmmmm decisions.

Any good info? Does it play well with Live etc??? I see there is an AU version in the works.

It uses Rewire to connect to Live.

If you are seriously into step sequencing Numerology is pretty intense. You can have multiple "stacks" going at once with intercommunication between them so one can manipulate another. You can also use MIDI inout to redirect the sequencers.

BTW it's Mac only for those Windows fans who might read this

The demo doesn't support Rewire and will only instantiate one "stack" but otherwise is fully functional and quite a lot of fun.

You don't need to rely on rewire if you don't want to
for midi purposes you can use IAC

If you've got any analog gear that handles CV, Numerology kills with Silent Way/Volta and the Launchpad. Absolutely the most fun I've had with my modular synth in quite a long time. There are some great videos on the Numerology site...give them a watch.

I'm at a crossroads as to if I should drop around 220 on Numerology and a LP or get M4L and use some of the devices created with that to use with the APC40. Pros and cons?

if you buy numerology, you'll have a developer fully focused on that product and whatever support you might need.

if you buy m4l purely for the content other users create, they are not really obligated to continue development or offer you support...



also, if you have trouble making these kinds of decisions on your own...perhaps M4L isn't for you.

So go with numerology. Use the demo first, then buy the software if you like it, and then buy the launchpad if you feel you need to. I'd do it in that order =)
since live 8.1.3 you can demo M4L, btw. Although I don't know the fine details about activating the demo.
