'merge' feature for multiple live musicians...

Post by grimmwerks » Fri Nov 19, 2004 11:33 pm

Ok, say we've got a group of 3 powerbookers all sync'd up together. And we're jamming...whoo hoo.

It'd be great if at some point we can either merge our live Live track into something that we can finalize on one computer...

at the very least, when we're done jamming, the ability to render all tracks to a file...

well, i guess you can, just by rendering all three tracks and then using a multitracker (or just using live) to mixdown to one file.

Say you've got four available inputs on your soundcard. Very plausible. Set up three muted tracks, one monitoring inputs 1-2, another 3-4. Those are for two of the laptops. the third should be set to resample. Route these three tracks to a bus, and record its output using tapeit! or similar plugin.
