I would like to see some improvements on Lives Compressor, cause it´s one of my favourite devices.
1. Attack- and Release-times should be syncable to the host-tempo, in a range from 1/128 to 1/4 for example.
2. The makeupgain-slider on the right should have a higher resolution. Adjusting the gain manually is a little tricky at the moment because there are jumps between the values of 0,8 dB.

I'm not if syncing the times to host tempo does make any sense. For attack times I don't see any use at all, for release I guess you want to have some easier way to create pumping fx. My experience regarding this shows, that pumping doen't work perfect when using the calculated times. I always have to set it manually for good results.

Regarding the resolution of the Makeup gain: holding down cmd (on Mac) while dragging gives me better resolution that the 0.8dB steps you describe.

for pumping effects, i prefer to use envelopes/automation because of this. temposynched, and you can define the pumping curve in what ever ways you want
