When performing with Live, I sometimes use click.

It would be really helpful to have a checkbox in the preferences which would allow for 'Save Metronome State in Live Set'.

I find myself with the burden of worrying if I've remembered to turn the metronome 'on' inside live sets before beginning a tune. With this preference setting it would be one less thing to worry about if I knew that when I saved the set, the metronome would be on when I reopened it.

I had the same issue, but found a solution or workaround. At the moment my whole band liveset is still split up into one file per song and not unified in one liveset, where general settings can be kept within the set/concert.

My workaround for the metronome issue was simply to first go get Abletons MetronomeSounds.

Here's a guide on where to find them on your computer and even change them if you like:

Then I put MetronomeUp.wav and Metronome.wav into a DrumRack and programmed a simple looping MIDI Clip.
Routing Options can be changed via the I/O Settings.

With this ClickTrackInstrument, you could also programm fairly complicated ClickTracks, including i.e. Voiced CountIns, TimeSignature Changes, Louder/Softer Clicks for Louder/Softer Parts, Switch to Half-/Doubletime Feelings, etc...
