patch free, work with usine free so 0$
work on any touchscreen (PC W,mac with bootcamp), no usine knowledge required, just open the patch and run fullscreen.
can work lowcost with touch layers or wiimote and ir pen on any screen via wiimote whiteboard.
there are a bunch of 200$ dual touch screens, and hopefully we should see the truemultitouch very shortly.
no it won't work on ipad, but st8 as a solution for you .

I, and i think ST8 does too, would like to have a nice touch interface and make people know they can access to touch live at lowcost, without spending 2k$ of a lemur + 500$ of a max and max for live. Osc is an open protocol and I wish ableton
won't play the devil with locking politics and will officially support Osc, wich is widely used nowadays,and not only think 'max'
for a wider and better emulation,for the beauty of make it accessible to everyone..

_8x8 XY scrollable grid self constructive (ask only missing infos then scroll locally datas for faster//up to 32x48, preload now
_Clips names,colors,status.
_8x play/stop/ track select/ mute/solo/arm/cross assign/sends. // up to 32 now
_Multimode combos swich faders for mute and volumes(combo/momentary/dj cut)
_Per track list and access of all devices with names and 8 first parameters names and value update. // access to 128 now
_Any of those parameter can be assigned to one of the 16 combo encoders, and there is 16 banks of 16.(so different tracks possible)
_Advanced pan and sends menus with solo/min/max/progressive arrays that can store/recall datas and roll/edit.
_8x big faders for volume. // up to 32 now
_general encoder for volume/tempo/pan
_clip settings warp/loop signature/pitch for live beatrepeats of any clip.
_tracks and master track Vu meters
_Tracks current playing clip Positions
_totally customzable: resize, move change items, add your own functions.
_V2 currently adding Map_ Pads_XY_keys_ synced Automations/lfos

as it's usine free anyone can patch it's own layout/features ect resize/move/change items..or simply run as is.

Too bad it only works on a virus-ridden sinking ship that is Windows. Why not make it future-proof and truly accessible for all by making it available on secure Unix based OS like Linux and OSX?

i wouldn't enter that endless batlle hehe, (i had macs, running Windows most of soft i use are not avaible on mac: 3DSmax, usine ect) at least let's all profit from the war, that will speed up multitouch to democratise, but know im quite happy of W7, atlast.

if speak of HP slate, it's right too, even with touchscreen, I think still want some real HW controllers.

Yeah, I'm actually trying to get rid of all my controllers/keys in favor of a single touchscreen like my iPad. Been using ST8's LiveControl for the iPad and it's a fucking beautiful thing. He's adding pads (and hopefully keys) as well. Can't wait for the HP Slate; it may well open up more possibilities because it's not as locked down as the typical Apple product, lol.

hehe yes gurulogic, as a usiner you know you can easy tweak the layout, except parts that use dynamic colors, but can tweak the scripts. as an exemple there is a fader for color balance between real clip colors, or can make them fade with tracks colors, so alll clips of a track are ie a bit blue or yellow ect found it better for fast identifying. I didn't yet put that much visibility animations but man can create their own.
also I know senso is cooking some very hot stuff regarding layout for usine v5.17, everything of the layout: text size, color, borders colors/width ect should be accessible via script/iml so it will demultiply the layout possibilities in an insane way,
im sooo awaiting. (as an exemple playing clip will keep is color but being bordered ect..)
