Ableton Live 9 soon? thoughts?

given the recent problems and given how a re-write is in order from the ground up.... also given the long period between live 8 and now, anyone think Live 9 will be coming soon? and will it be a re-write?

It still feels like 8 just came out.
A re-write immediately after integration with MaxMsp and serato? Me things not.
I'm guessing you'll see a Live 10 before a complete re-write.

Rewrite of 8 or 8.x. You won't see vers 9 for a long time to come.

I have a strong feeling we're going to see alot more 8.x.x updates til the end of the year at least. I have 8.1.3 and have just starting having live crash on me more frequently.

If they will gong to lunch this version this will definitely hers users a lot, especially today, because based on my experience i encounter lot of problem with it. So I';m looking forward for this new one.

are you actually of the opinion that releasing the next version will fix the problems that some people are still having? Ableton has officially said that until the issues are fixed, they won't be developing any new features, so not that they don't already know what new features they will be implementing, but when exactly did they have time to work on these new things with all the issues they've been taking care of in the current version???

I'm waiting the fix for Sonik Synth 2 crashes
It will also be nice that custom colors (color pìcker or like Logic) be included on 8.1.4 as a minor update
so I agree we're gonna have 8 for a while
About 9.0 I reaaaaaaaally hope for Xmas season at least the beta.

I’ve just switched from Cakewalk Sonar to Ableton. To be honest I hope they don’t go like Cakewalk an upgrade every 12 months whatever plus making me £130 in my wallet lighter. I’d prefer a major upgrade every 24 – 30 months at £130 than every 12!

+1 on the crashes.
Please, no new version, ooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, for say three more years - that would be OK with me.
