Hi guys.
New to your forum so excuse me if I ask the odd dumb questions.
I'm slowly moving across to Live6 from being a long time Tracktion user.
It's a bit like working in miniature at first but I'm getting used to it now.
OK my question is...
When I stop play there is a momentary reverb effect. In fact the whole mix sounds like it has some reverb applied to it even though there is none.
My setup is WinXP (Service Pack 3) Athlon 3200+ 1g ram, an M-Audio Delta 44 break out box, Genelec 8030s and a Novation SL49
I think it's maybe a setting within Live I haven't got right as I don't get this problem with T2, Reason or Rebirth.
Point me towards the door marked Obvious someone please.

It is highly unlikely to create a reverb effect without an effect processor being applied unless your room is creating an echo. No one will be able to help you without more specifics.

Duh! Did I say I was recording with a mic? I'm using samples.
More specifics? What specifics? I can't make it any simpler to understand unless you want it in crayon!

He meant that it's unlikely that Live is doing an actual reverb effect for no reason, and even your room creating a short echo after you stop playback is more probable.

Anyway. Make sure you don't have any processing going on somewhere else in your output chain, like the driver/setting utilities for your soundcard. Many consumer and prosumer soundcards offer some sort of sound "enhancement" that you can turn on, namely EQ and spatial modifications, the latter being the culprit here if accidentally turned on.
