Being that Ableton Live is the premier tool for live performances of songs, there is one basic feature i am surprised hasn't been implemented yet...

TABBED LIVE SETS.

For a performer, it would be optimal (before going onstage) to open up a set list of songs as TABS (live sets), each with their own clips, mixer/effects settings, and virtual instruments.

Then for every song you simply click the next tab and you're ready to go!

This would save time loading every song, etc. This would work well for DJs too, perhaps allowing you to blend audio from one Live Set (tab) into the next.

Great [Feature Request]. If not tabs, some sort of Song List support. It's awkward and time consuming clicking to load the next song.

yes, as long as instruments on the visible tab only consume CPU - with the rest effectively 'switched off'.

ohhh... maybe... im not sure... would need to see it but i kinda like the sound of tabs of songs and being able to mix between em... would they all share a common master output?

without reading this, i posted a similar feature request.
this tabbed live set feature would be a great idea.
i also think you should be able to switch tabs via midi.. otherwise it would still be a pain for a mouse less live performance.


when one tab is open all other tabbed sets should be disabled to save cpu power.

+1000000 for this request. Performing with live is horrible when you need to load each track between songs and no real way around this thing. Please please please do something about this thing!!!

I agree, this would be great.

Itd be something that Id upgrade for alright. The problem with the idea is you need to touch your laptop. It needs to be midi assignable single key NEXT. I wish there was a way WITHOUT using midi channels to jump between instruments. But getting away from the absolute necessity to see your laptop would be ideal.
