The vibe around this World Cup is so weird around here. Everyone is really cautious about giving a score for the inaugural match, afraid that we'll get mugged by the ref or something.

Funny, we had those for ages here. In fact, that's how I'm used for a stadium to sound.

Yeh, they had those kind of trumpets here back when-- they were about 3 feet long. Finally banned because they really, really got on people's tits

[edit] MX-RSA 1-1- tie, interesting.

lol, I kinda missed them.

BTW, this is the last world cup I'll watch, or I'll die of some kind of liver failure. Fucking Mexico.

Good match, I thought... much better than this dull first half of Uruguay-France. France are really hamstrung by their coach, frustrating to watch...

...though after watching the rugby, I'd forgotten about all of the football penalty-seeking, agonising theatrics... still good to watch, like, just rugby's a better spectator sport... though I think we had that discussion on here already once... as you were :)

R Kelly. Sweet. Remember when he was caught on video pissing all over that 15 year old girl?

That said, "Ignition (Remix)" is probably one of my favorite contemporary R&B songs of all time.
