Just been to my mates noticed his home studio has a 2 screen setup - wasn`t on so couldn`t tell is that a good workflow improvement?
Looked at my video card have 2 ouputs excluding the one the monitor is in one I is an s video output the other is def not a vga slot its wider and has more pins - whats that any ideas because I can get a cheap £30 second hand 17 inch monitor from cash converters but they are all vga inputs :?:

the other output is probably DVI, does it have flat pins? if so you can get a DVI to VGA adaptor.

Little known fact (well I just discovered it... ) is that DVI video is electrically compatible with HDMI, so with a simple adaptor plug, or lead, you can send from a DVI output to a HD Flatscreen etc - digi all the way baby...

until Live supports session view on one monitor and arrangement on a second (without requiring a M4L workaround), it's dual monitor capabilities are limited and is one reason why I often mix in Cubase.
