playing_position in arrangement

Posted: Sat Jun 12, 2010 12:59 pm
hello friends!

that seems to be easy but i can not figure out how it works:
i want to read out the current playing position of a track - BUT in the arrangement mode and not in the session mode (here it works).

is this possible, how?

thanks!

hi peter,
thanks for the quick reply!
i tried that out but unfortunately that is not what i need. the "current song time" is depending on the relative time of live but i need it absolute because i have complexe time changes (bpm changes) in my song.
i switch off the "warp" button of the audio track, so the track plays in its original time (independent of the bpm changes) in the arrangement. i need the exact (absolute) current position of this track as values. (or just the absolute time of the whole arrangement would be also helpful)
do you know what i mean?
thanks for help!
philipp

thanks for that hint.
tried it out but unfortunately the 'get_current_smpte_song_time' just "translates" the relative time depending on the song position into hh.mm.ss., it's not the absolute time.
