Easy one button launchpad as stepseq feature.

I would love if you did a feature where we could very easily without too much setup , use the launch pad as a stepseq.

but easy... that just by pressing one button is ready to use

You can very easily and I have done it myself. I just haven't got around to uploading it as yet.

Steps are simple.

Create a midi rack with 16 racks
map the on/off button of each rack to a pad on the padcontrol
create a midi clip with 16 steps
have each step have a different velocity (you could use notes or clip envelope settings)
map this velocity in the racks velocity editor to match each step

this is just the start, you could add note length, velocity and pitch effects to each rack to allow control over these for each step.

When I get around to it, possibly this weekend I will upload what I have.

but a one button solution , a built in one would be nice.

on youtube this guy makes a step sequencer, a ripple sequencer, and radar sequencer with the launchpad... but you have to have MAX for Live to use it because he made it as a patch for MAX

I know he posted the step sequencer one for download cuz i downloaded it, but didn't have MAX :( , the ripple and radar one im not sure about

cool yeah , but i mean a basic, norml step seq with launchpad, no max for live no radar style seq.


and i own m4l , but a built in finction would be nice.
