I clicked the little headphone icon and the Solo/Cue button in the Master track is grey and I can't click that. Under that, the Preview/Cue Volume is blue and has the little headphone sign under it and is raised to the max. I looked at tutorials on using this software and their Solo/Cue button and Preview/Cue Volume looks just like mine and yet they can still preview sounds! My preview tab is just not functioning. When I click on an instrument, it does not show anything in the preview tab, no waves or anything. The preview button is on. I contacted the support and they told me to send them my Log.txt file and I am waiting for a response. Can someone help me please? Thanks a lot everyone who tries to help!

the solo/cue button on the master will be grey unless you are routing the master out and cue out to different outputs in the dropdown menus - ie - if they are both going out to 1/2 then the solo/cue button will remain greyed out (you need to be using a soundcard with multiple outs to have the option to route it to 3/4 etc)

if you click on an "instrument" in the browser it will not show waves - or make a sound

when you click onto a sample in the browser a little waveform should appear under the browser - to its left is a "headphone" icon to its right a box in which is written "raw" - make sure the headphone button is switched on

- turn down the vol on the headphone icon on your master incase you blast your head off - now click on a sample and it should preview the sample

whoops - just re-read your thread and saw that you clicked the headphone icon

Ok, I got the Solo button to switch to Cue but when I click on a file, it still does not show and wave files or the "raw" button. The button to the left of that is blue and on. How can I fix this? Maybe I need to change some things in the preferences?

Try
a) to repair the library and
b) to run Live as admin on your Win7 system

I tried running as an administrator but how would I repair the library? By the way, why did you ask me to send you my Log.txt file? Thank you!

Sorry, I found out how to repair the library. I will let you know how that turns out.

No, did not change a thing... Someone help! Post a screenshot of your screen so that I can compare mine to yours and see any changes. I need this to be figured out. Thanks guys.
