Many times I have wondered if it would be possible to have a set of global LFOs that could be assigned to any parameter in ableton...or global envelopes...like say below the groove panel you would have a global LFO/evelope section, and you could right click on any element in ableton (tempo, plugin parameter, etc) and assign it, kind of like you can do now with racks and macros, but instead of being confined to a track this would work throughout the entire project!

I would love that! It would be very nice when making generative music.

Maybe it's possible to create in some MIDI translator? I don't know...

This has been requested several times, but Ableton probably will never implement this, especially when it is actually quite easy to do this with Max for Live (for those who are literate in Max/MSP of course).

What I wish Ableton would do is to simply buy FabFilter (http://www.fabfilter.com) or licence its products, include all their instruments and effects in Live and also use their excellent LFO, envelopes and envelope followers in all of Live's own effects and instruments.

Puremagnetik has made a really nice global LFO for max if you're not so good at max yet
