Where can I buy/download this APC40 hack?

Hi there

Has anyone made a hack for the APC40, that makes it possible to MIDI-map the clip launch pads, but still be able to move around with the bank select buttons?

I would like to be able to use my APC40 with its native settings AND also duplicate its signal with some kind of MIDI translator, and use this signal for MIDI mapping.

Did that make sense?

I don't own Max, so if someone has made a template for Bome's or somthing I would be a happy man!

Best regards Nikolaj

Best,

Hanz
Thank you

Now I've tried to download the APS40_21 and has dropped the file in the User Remote Scripts folder in my preferences. But I don't see anything in Live... Does anybody have an idea about what I'm doing wrong?

Have you restarted Live? It should appear in the control surface choice list in your midi preferences...

Cheers

Yep, that did not work, but I found the right folder here http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=144913 so now it works :)

However, the remote script did not solve my problem, because I need to be able to use the native clip launch function at the same time as I also use the clip launch buttons pads for launching locators in arrangement view...

@S4racen Is it possible to do this with your Bome's template?

You lost me with this bit as i don't use arrangement view often? Are you saying the matrix grid should launch clips and at the same time have another functionality, or a shifted functionality??

but then wouldn't it do both functions at the same time?

Yes, that is what I want.

I want to be able use the clip launch buttons to launch clips in session view AND launch locators in arrangement view with one click.

I am actually doing it now with MidiPipe. I use the program to duplicate the midi signal from the APC40, and then I've set up Live this way:

However, the problem with this setup is that when i push one of the Bank Select buttons to move the red box in Live, the buttons I have mapped to launch arrangement view locators does note move on the APC40. So "session view clips" and "locator launchers" does launch from the same pads when I use the Bank Select buttons.

Did that make any sense?

For mulitple midi messages from one press of a button you'll need a second controller to map the second message first and then bomes to send the second message when it receives the first....

I still don't understand what you're doing but this is the best solution....

I'm not sure about what you mean by a second controller. Do you mean a real physical controller..?

I'll try try to explain what I want one more time then :D :

My problem is that I want to use the pads on the APC for launching audio clips in session view AND for launching video clips (locators) in arrangement view.

So when I push one pad on the APC, I want it to launch an audio clip in sessionview AND to launch a locator at the corresponding video clip in arrangement view.

Actually I am doing this now with MidiPipe. I use the program to duplicate the midi signal from the APC40, and then I've set up Live as you can see on the screen shot earlier in the thread.

However, the problem with this setup is that when i push one of the Bank Select buttons to move the red box in Live, the buttons I have mapped to launch arrangement view locators does note move on the APC40. So "session view clips" and "locator launchers" does launch from the same pads when I use the Bank Select buttons.

Did that make any more sense?
