Hello folks,

I've a question concerning the "schwarzonator" tool. I'm thinking about buying Ableton 8 Suite (edu edition). Do I need another tool/plugin whatever to run the schwarzonator tool? Explicitly: Do I have to buy MAX for Live to run the schwarzonator tool?

You're talking about the Max Runtime. There is no Max for Live Runtime.

Suite 8 owners have the option of running Live in Demo Mode to use Max for Live (i.e. no saving, no rendering), but there is no Max for Live Runtime.

Ok, right now I'm confused.

So, if I just wanted to use Schwarzonator (I do not want to code my own plugins or whatever), I have to buy Max for Live - no other solution?!

no other option. schwarzonator is a m4l-dedvice and requires m4l. forget the post regarding max-runtime, this was nonsense.

(you can run max patches with max runtime, but not m4l-devices).

ah, and something else: you can do lots of stuff similar to schwarzonator by using midiclips, arpeggiators and the scale-device. without any m4l and schwarzonator.
