are you sure it´s set to asio mode? you only get your 6 outputs in asio mode. i have it working at this very moment, spewing out a little techno doodle on the laptop and it works perfectly fine, there´s certainly no incompatibility problem though live 4 does demand the latetest drivers or there will be glitches.

ah. that could be it i'm using it in DX mode. i'll give it a try. i have the latest drivers so everything could be resolved. while searching the forum there are some threads relating to an OPTION.txt file that can be altered in earlier versions of live to give better performance. is this needed in live 4 or are there any tweaks you recommend?

yeah, there was a trick with making a new text file and setting some line i forgot in that. should be on the board, i think it was in a post from mr henke himself.
anyway, i did that and was able to get better latency so i sugest you do it too.
whatever you do; get it in asio mode first thing because there are big advantages to it and no disadvantages. as for other tricks; i use my latop ungrounded and gave the soundcard it´s own adapter and that greatly improved sound quality, depending on how clean the power from your usb buss is you might like to try that too.

no joy - tried it in both modes. still only 1 stereo or 2 mono. i've found the OPTION.txt thread but i'm unsure if works for version 4 [it was for version 2]. is there a 'force stereo' option i need to find if so where is it?
cheers

that´s realy strange.
in the driver´s options menu (on that right section of yout taskbar in windows, not sure about mac) you should make sure it´s not set to low bandwith mode. i think it should not be set to realy high bitrates either because all the data needs to fit in usb 1.
ableton also has a schreen in -i think- hardware setup in the audio options. you should make sure all output pairs are enabled there. if that does not help the i´m at a loss and can´t help you at this distance.
i´m also sure there was a post on those hidden options for these cards for live 4, it wasn´t that long ago, it was in this section and i believe the thread was called something about latency.....
