I believe all my installs of Ableton quit working when I started getting 'Microsoft Kill utility encountered a problem' on startup of my system. I think this may be related to sound driver initilaization. All my other DAWs work fine, but now I get a runtime error on startup of any Live 8.0, 8.05, 8.13.
Anu=ybody have any experience with anything like this?

It is very likely to be a driver issue, have seen this with bad network card drivers and DOT4 printers.

Update all your drivers or if that doesn't work try renaming the Ableton folder in Application Data (just to test. you can delete the one that gets re-created afterwards and rename the original to bring your settings back if the same behaviour persists).
