Another question about dropouts PLEASE

Post by et » Thu Dec 02, 2004 8:09 pm

I’m using an Ibook (900) Live 3.2, and an Audiophile USB interface. I have samples saved and I’m triggering them via midi bass pedals during shows

I’m in a Rush tribute, and when triggering my "2112 intro" sample, it cuts out for a second during playback. It happened last night and the night before, and I remember it happening at a gig once also. But it doesn't always happen in the same spot within the sample. At home I've played it without a glitch. Could it be because all the power from the computer & interface is plugged into the same power strip as the keys, pedals, and guitar effects, which, in turn is plugged into the same strip as the PA and mixer? Or could it be the audiophile usb(w/wall wart that’s plugged into the same strip) I’m using that's interrupting the signal? also, I'm using a 1/4 mono jack from the mixer to the audiophile headphone jack(stereo)for sound, but that doesn't really matter does it? I haven't had any trouble with the other samples, but most of them are shorter in length. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
