The MIDI input from the Fast Track is your Yamaha. It is that port, which you have the yamaha plugged into. So, it reads from the Fast Track port. And whatever you have plugged into that port will be what it reads (that being your yamaha :) )

What IS listed in the MIDI-Ports section, then?

Each MIDI device recognized by your OS should be listed with an input and output line.

Is there any option to de/activate the MIDI interface in the fast track's control panel?
