Well I mentioned this problem in a topic last week and I've submitted a bug report, but I thought I'd put the problem in its own topic and see if anyone else out there has come across it, and maybe a solution!...

The title says it all, really:

32 bit vista on a Dual Core 2.2Ghz Asus laptop with 2 Gig ram and an Echo Indigo I/Ox.
Both Reason and Live work fine on their own, but if I open Reason second for rewire, both crash instantly...

PS: As far as I can tell, all drivers, and software are up to date....

I've already tried that, but I ran it again, and still no luck.

I've also posted at the Reason forum, but also no solutions...

I ran reason with live 4 and then 6 for several years on my old laptop running XP with no problems at all.

Frustrating.

Treestepper, have you had the same issues with reason 3, live 8 and vista and had them run fine when you changed op systems?

Actually I was planning to upgrade to 64 bit win7 as soon as Ableton brought out a 64 bit version...

please make sure you use the latest update, Live 8.1.4.
If the crashes persists, please send the bugreporting package Live is creating automatically after the crash to [email protected]

I haven't had time to give reason a full rewire workout, but its not crashing on start up now.

Nico recommended a second propheads/vista link that I hadn't discovered, and it seems to have done the trick!

Live 8.1.5 still crashes with Reason 3 and Vista for me...
