I have a coworker who is constantly bumming smokes off me but to offset that he insists on giving me a $1 each time. While this is a financial win for me and extreme financial stupidity on his end, I find it completely annoying. More than a capitalist I'm a "stay the fuck out of my personal space" person. It doesn't matter what I'm in the middle of doing, business related or not, he feels there's never a bad time to buy a smoke from me. When I see him approaching from off in the distance going for his wallet a little voice goes "FFS!" in my head. Then there's the issue of me having to buy smokes sooner than I would or running out of smokes sooner and being in no mood to go to the store.

Anybody else feel their personal space and time or vices transcend monetary compensation?

I totally understand, I had the same type of problem years ago with room mates and neighbors who wanted to buy weed.

I was like "what am I, a weed bank??"


for cigarettes, at least you can buy some at any corner store, just keep a few spare packs at home.

I have told him no and then he whines about it like a little girl which is kind of funny because he's a tank of a man.

There is a convenience store that is a short walking distance from my work and just once I'd like to see him walk over there instead of coming straight to me 3 or 4 times a day.

Quit smoking, but don't tell him and keep selling them to him. Then after a few months show him how much money you've made off his back.

Yup, this thread is the equivalent of a Facebook post from and attractive 19 year old girl wherein she posts 20 new photos to her profile

Meh, girls want to be thought of as pretty, guys want to have to grievances validated and gain support (war team) for their "cause". I fail to see one as more important or less silly.
