Hi Everyone.

I recently upgraded from Live 7 to the trial version of Live 8 Suite. My trial period for 8 has expired. I am definitely planning on upgrading to live live 8 suite once i can get my hand on 400 bucks but, for know i still need to use live 7 in the mean time. I've been trying to use the thing such as the filter for EQ eight, filters, reverbs, etc for my tracks however, they seem to not work back in my registered version of Live 7. When i click on the options for the various features and select "manage file", i get a message that the file is either corrupt or that they are saved under a newer version of ableton (ie..the expired version of live 8 suite.) How can i go back to enabling the features i originally had in my registered version of live 7? I've got a retarded amount of work to finish for my next set coming up this weekend. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Hi Tim,

it's not yet clear to me what problems you experience exactly. What do you mean by "features" in this context?

The Live 7 installation is completely independent from any Live 8 one, so are it's devices, and you should always be able to have your original Live 7 version working.

What did you do with your library after installing Live 8? Updated as Live 8 required?

If you created or saved older sets with Live 8, it's not possible to open them in the older Live 7 again.
